Lebanon, TN and Watertown, TN in Wilson County

Although Mt. Juliet, TN has gotten a lot of attention due to the addition of the Providence marketplace and community, Lebanon, TN is a huge part of Wilson County. Not only is it the county seat, it's also the most populated city in Wilson County with a little over 26,000 residents. Watertown, TN just east of Lebanon, has a little over 1,400 residents according to the 2010 census.

The city of Lebanon, TN was incorporated in 1819, and it has many interesting landmarks including the town square and Castle Heights, a former military academy. Today, Lebanon has grown into a popular place for companies to put down roots, including Cracker Barrel.

Lebanon features various parks for residents to enjoy, from lakeside picnic and boat access parks to those with playground equipment for children. One of the most popular parks in Lebanon is the Don Fox community park, with pavilions that can be rented, walking tracks, playgrounds and a wading pool.

Watertown, located in eastern Wilson County, is the smallest town in the county, but carries a big history. In 1903 a fire burned down many city buildings. After the fire, the citizens built brick buildings and constructed a town square. Today, Watertown is also known for the annual mile long yard sale.

All the communities of Wilson County feature great housing options and fantastic schools. Some of the most popular neighborhoods in the Lebanon and Watertown communities include Five Oaks, Richmond Hills and Stone Bridge. However, in both Lebanon and Watertown, you can also choose to live in the more rural areas and live on a larger piece of land.
